Family Dessert

In this post, I am only going to talk about this very traditional dessert in Singapore.
That is Ice Ka Chang. It is actually a bowl of shaved ice with mainly 3 to 4 different kind of syrups pour onto different side. At the bottom, you can find grass jelly and red bean. On top, you can canned corn.

This is a very simple dessert but to me, it's one of the best dessert. It is the only dessert that you can only finish them with a family and a dessert that allow us to look back to the past. I have a few reason for saying this.  As you know, Ice Ka Chang comes in a very big portion, so obviously one alone can't finish them. And with all the different colors, it's so colorful which made a attractive dessert that the kids(the past) want them. AND it's so cold, sweet and nice that attract us Singaporean all the team! So for all these reason,  this is a dessert that every family will always share and only with family, you can taste the memories of it.

People tend to forgot about the past when they grow up. If you do not have a good relationship with your family and want to mend it, why not start from Ice Ka Chang? You do not have to do anything. Just let the taste bring you and your family back to the happy moment.
